Help me decide! 911 S Vs. R8 V8

So I was looking at replacing my 2010 BMW M3. I actually bought the Jaguar XFR to be my daily driver, but I still find myself climbing into the M3 more often than the Jag, don't ask how! So I decided I could get rid of the M3 and get a brand new Carrera S or the R8 V8. However I can't decide which one I should go for.

This may sound a little stupid, but the comfort quality is a criteria, since I will drive it mostly everyday since I mostly travel alone or with only my girlfriend, leaving the Jag for family duties. Also the new car I get won't be a manual, since I've got knee issues, bummer eh?

So help me guys!

P.S. I don't know if I've posted this in the right section, sorry if I haven't.

I haven't driven either but I would pick the 991. Well I'd personally pick a 997 Turbo but that's me.

So which one would you pick based on drivability and if you had to use it as a daily driver?

If you want the exotic factor the R8 by far, it is fast enough while slightly underpowered as the car is heavy and AWD. Also do not buy anything but
a 6MT the r-tronic is g-d awful. The 911S (997) is a great car and there is
nothing you can really say about it, its a toss up drive both.

I'd argue that the 991 Carrera S is the better of the two. Better engine, newer technology/gadgets, more adjustable for driving style, not to mention faster.

I think the R8 looks more special and the interior materials might be a bit better but I think you'd find yourself going for the Porsche's keys more. Plus, I don't think I could own the R8 4.2 and not spend every second in the car wishing I had the V10.

Yeah that's what I thought with the 911 being a better choice since it is newer. I could go for the V10 R8, but here in India, there is nowhere I could actually justify using the V10, which is why the V8 is ample enough. Also the R8 is a lot more common here than the 911, so there is that exclusivity feel in the 911.

Also, which of the two would be better for long drives in terms of comfort?

new 991S> R8/997. Comfort, ease of use, driving slow/fast/ twisties/straight line.

Not only did I think the R8 drive like a dog, it's interior wasn't comfortable at all for me and I'm only 5'11". (6 speed version)
