Not only did I think the R8 drive like a dog, it's interior wasn't comfortable at all for me and I'm only 5'11". (6 speed version)
R8 was super comfortable drove it 14k miles.. interior is wide and much roomier then the 997 or any 911 cant say for the 991.

Buy a 911 S. it's been my daily driver for over 8-years and I love it! A big sedan is just that big and boring. Enjoy life more and have more fun in a 911!

He is asking about the "R" 8 not an "S" 8

Both are equally daily driveable.

The 991 has got the upper hand in the performance dept, but the R8 will command a stronger presence on the road.

The R8 is getting a facelift next year before it is replaced by the new 2014 R8, so maybe if you're all about staying "current" the 991 is the way to go.

Doesn't sound like you could go wrong either way, flip a coin.

I'd vote for the R8, but I'm bias having had one.

[EDIT]: oh wait, no manual. 991 then hands down...the R8 fail-tronic is garbage.
