Got a new 991 Cabriolet!

That's a very nice, tastefully done Cab you've got there. Love the colour combination of the red interior and the grey exterior! Nice wheels too! Are you looking to upgrade anytime soon?
Oh, and I was wondering why you didn't go for the red-canvas top? I think it would have looked smashing!
I bet you enjoy the sound of the new 991. It makes a very nice throaty and fruity exhaust note, and the crackle and pop on the overrun is a very nice little addition to the note.

I actually didn't order the car...it was done by the dealer, and I saw it on their incoming list and put my name on it...although they did not order the center console trim in carbon with the rest of the package - it was left as aluminum (which with the roof down is actually very distracting due to reflections)...so I just installed it. Here are the before/after pics.

Thanks! I absolutely love everything about this car. I am enjoying it much more than my 2011 GTS - the ride isn't harsh, and so much more of a cruiser. Some people find that blasphemous, but I think the market is so much more ripe with that type of customer. A friend of mine who has a 2011 Panamera 4S and 2001 996 cabriolet drove it yesterday and said that he has deep feelings of Porsche Envy now! I laughed, and understand what he is saying. It is such a giant leap forward. People who want the harsher "sports" cars will be happy with the GT3 or GTS variants, but this is a perfect car for people like me who want fast and luxury. Just my 2 cents.

thanks for your honest and straight forward opinion on the 991!
Most guys prolly fear losing their "man card" telling something like that,..while I personally think that your points are totally legit!
I completely agree with you on that
