Porsche 991 with or without Power Steering Plus?

If any of you rode Porsche 991 with and without Power Steering Plus? I heard that there is a huge difference in feeling without Power Steering Plus, it is more precisely, especially at low speed.

There is a big difference in cars with and without the Power Steering Plus option. At high speeds the steering is normal, at speeds under 31 mph it provides steering assistance making the car easier to maneuver.

Even though it's only $270, I think it's useless. I test drove one without and it seemed more than manageable driving around town under 30 miles per hour.

Can others with more seat time chime in?

I've yet to have someone test drive one w/o it NOT make a 'is it normal for the steering to be this hard?'- comment.

It's 270 bucks. Get it.

i have had it on both my new cayenne's and i guess i dont notice it.. i ordered my 991 without it... i dont mind a little extra steering down low.. i think i'll like it... the cayenne feels "floaty" and fake at slow speeds i wanted the carrera to feel normal.

I drove 991 with power steering and it was too delicate at low speed and comparing the 997 I felt like it has a little bit of dead zone. In 997 you feel excatly where the car would go. I wonder if it because of power steering wheel or this new electro steering mechanism?

I'd pass on it if I was ordering one. Dont like how it feels like it- "locks in" steering wheel angle( and wants to drives further into the corner) on hard, agressive cornering. It's actually harder to roll out on a corner un winding the steering wheel IMHO. Nothing like 997.2 feedback and precise steering feel. I even washed my rear out on the autocross they set up for us in CA for trainging twice in a row with the 991...
