Your thoughts about new 991 Targa

Here is 991 test drive video with interesting information from driver about future 991 Targa.

Porsche 911 (991) Carrera S Test Drive - YouTube

Maybe we will see something like this (render by unknown artist):

I would hope that the information from the driver on video is true because it will bring the 991 Targa back to the original Targa roof concept.

What are your thoughts about new Targa?

Why would a test driver in Toronto know anything about a rumored Targa?

Okay, gotta be from DFC (downtown-ish Toronto). Don't recognize the voices so it's not a PourShah rep or one of the biggie/wiggies of DFC.

If the Targa DOES in fact go back to a real targa top I will be overjoyed. Always loved the real targas, HATED those oversize sunroofs they called targas starting with the 993. Thanks(?) for the video.

They are driving down adelaide onto dvp and then down bayview where the video ends. These guys were probably from downtown porsche dealership.

Doubt very much guys from a dealership would know anything about an upcoming targa model.

I'm sure that the new Targa will be like the Classic style considering the current 991 sunroof is a lot like the Targa's and there wouldn't be much reasoning in having an entirely separate model just for a glass version of the sunroof. Regardless, that was an enjoyable video.

Saw the new 991S yesterday at the dealership and it was f'ing gorgeous. I almost left with one, which would have been a poor decision.

I am looking forward to the 7-speed manual that will debut in May. All that is available in the US right now is the 7-speed PDK, which is still an amazing tranny IMHO.
