QNX shows off state-of-the-art Infotainment setup in a Porsche 997 at CES

QNX, which is now owned by Blackberry, stripped the interior electronics out of a 997 Porsche 911 Cabrio to showcase its latest combination of infotainment, navigation and connectivity solutions.

Take a good look at the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel in the video below and you'll be vaguely reminder of the new Range Rover or Aventador all-digital displays.

Autoblog noted it's one of the better looking interfaces they found at CES.

"The system integrates the standard music, nav and telephony functionality with one-touch Bluetooth pairing over NFC, a sweet-sounding VOIP system and the potential – in theory, at least – to run Android apps thanks to its Blackberry Playbook roots."

"This year in the BlackBerry Booth at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas there was a Porsche 911 convertible on display loaded with QNX and BlackBerry technology, including mounted PlayBooks and custom digital displays. Check out the video to view a demonstration of the features and functionality straight from the QNX team. The Porsche won Best in Show for CES 2012 in the Auto Tech category."
