First Drive: The New Porsche 911 Carrera S

Wow, the writer's reception for this car was more muted than I had expected. Given the monster performance numbers I thought there would have been a lot of excitement, but his impressions seem to be pretty carefully measured.

I suppose those reviews are only to be taken in general views... Each person has their own view on the car, so reading too much into someone's feeling towards the car is not necessary. I would say go to the dealer and drive one and decide yourself if its a good car or not....

The dash view from the above post looks remarkably similar to my present car. P-car dashes look same/same for the most part.
But, with respect to the new center section ... I hope it's padded. I know where my right knee will contact this deal.
Guess there's no need for a traditional 'hand brake' what with the electo-mechanichal dealie on the new car. What is it ... a button?
Speakers are just speakers. I drive the car to listen to the motor ... with aftermarket exhaust. LIsten to the turbos spool up. Plus, country music sounds pretty much the same on all systems.
