997 C2S tune to improve start?

Hey everyone, this is one of my first posts here but I've been reading for a while. I've searched for this and didn't get any relevant results, but please excuse me if I missed a thread.

I have a 2006 Carrera S cabriolet with Tip (don't worry guys, I have a manual car as well), and I wanted to fix an annoying problem relating to the tranny. As some of you might know, the car, by default, starts off in second gear when in auto mode. This causes two problems. First, it's a little sluggish off the line under medium throttle. Secondly, and far more annoyingly, if I really want to push it I have to wait for the tranny to clunk into first gear before a brisk takeoff. This is dangerous on left turns at traffic lights and just isn't as fun as I think it should be.

So, is there anything that can fix this problem (no, guys, trading it in for a manual is not a valid choice)? I'm thinking perhaps a tune might do it but I'm not sure.

Looking forward to your responses. Thanks.

arena82 is an unknown quantity at this point
Do you have the sport chrono package? If you do, by putting the car in "sport" mode, it should get rid of any computer-created lag.

If you don't, you can have it retrofit by a dealer, for something like $1200 bucks.

Personally, I would stash the $1200, and save up for a PDK...

Not only did I mention it in my original post, but I thought the fact that I have a cab would indicate that I'm not after the purest Porsche driving experience possible - namely a coupe with a manual transmission. I'm already sacrificing weight and performance getting a cab, so it's pretty clear I have a different set of values than a traditional Porsche purist even before choosing an auto. It's not the end of the world though. I got a great response on the first page of the thread and am looking into it now. Thank you to those who were helpful and kind.

Deleted some extraneous nonsense. Please stay on topic and if you don't like Tip's. Don't buy one. Other than that, if you have nothing helpful or good to say, keep it to yourselves.

I would like to apologise if my coments were not helpful, everyone is free to buy what he needs, I personaly don´t like tiptronic gearbox because it doesn´t let´s you drive more agresive, but for city traffic and freeway use works fine.
