Need advice! NAIL on my tire. Change or fill?
Hi guys, i have a big nail on my P zero 295/20/35 on the right side back tire of my panny. I notice a noise coming from the back end of the car during slow drive but couldnt find the source. I kept going and at one point was doing 130mph. When i reach home, i did a check again and discover the nail....amazingly the tire is still ok w the nail, it has not gotten flat yet. Pheeewwww....was i lucky or what. Need your advice
1) can it be fix? If yes ,will it effect the performance and safety? I ocationally drive at 130mph . Is it dangerous to use the fixed tire at that speed?
2) if i change the right side tire ( the one w the nail),the left side good tire is only 80%. will the performance or ride comfort be effected?
Any advice will be very helpful.. Thks in advance.

I got a nail on my rear tire the first day I got the car. It was in the tread area so I got it plugged. Was pretty pissed that it happened so soon. I drive mostly below 80 mph so it has been ok since. No air loss. Don't know if it's ok to drive with a fix at that speed so can't advise u on that. On my other 997, I did replace one tire and left the other one alone & didnt notice a difference in ride quality.

I was on a trip about 300 miles from home, as I was leaving town for home my tire was flat, I drove on an air valve, could hear air coming out. Luckily there was a place to plug my tires. Did it in less than 20 minutes, did maximum speed of 180 kph with no problems and maintained average speed of 120 kph all the way home, I rarely drive my 911, but that was almost 2 years ago and am still on the same set. If you have money to burn go for it, the plug if done correctly should not be a problem if you are not tracking it.
