I think you're forgetting the 991's interior is no more or less luxurious than the 997's. It's just higher quality. Of course most would opt for AC and at least a stereo, so it really isn't that far fetched. Plus, the rumor of a car like this started with the retro Targa rumor, so it's just as possible.

And doubting there could be an interior like this is like doubting a GT3 RS, because it will more or less have a very similar interior.
