Likes:
* Tail Lights (They just sit too high though)
* Sleeker Side Profile
* Shorter Front Overhangs
* Less Weight, More Power (sounds like a beer commercial)
Dislikes:
* Tall Rear Bumper
* Fugly DRL/Fog Light design (VERY FUGLY IMO)
* Alphabet Soup on Rear End (easily fixed though)
* Panamera Interior - This is supposed to be a SPORTS CAR, not LUXURY GT
* Bug Eyes up front
* No more Pop-Up Rear Decklid. To me, this was a 911 tradition
* No more access to engine whatsoever
* Rear End makes the exhaust tips look itsy-bitsy (probably also easily remedied)
* Awaiting 4S to see if a WB version will add to the 'curviness' of the 911, but this seems to hide it's rear shape as opposed to accentuate it.
Now, I'm VERY BIASED given that I just got my GTS a few months ago, but I'm also glad I did. I think they only thing I prefer about this design is the greater slope/curvature of the windscreen and reduced front overhang. Every other 'update' to the car doesn't do anything for me.

Nice detective work, DJ!
My thoughts on the interior. Like many at first (a few months ago) I was thinking the interior would stray away from Porsche's sporty motifs. The first good interior shots came out today, and I have to say, I'm very pleased with it. It looks very similar to the 997's which is a good thing, just higher quality. I was nervous the center console would be fat and bloated like the Panamera's, but on the 991 it looks much slimmer, and there are much less buttons. I also think the sloped console will be great for shifting on the manual transmission. Very reminiscent of the Carrera GT. I think the interior still has a very sporty appeal. The contrasting colour rev counter is an excellent touch. The only thing I don't like is the bulging speakers and window operational buttons on the door panels. They look very out of place compared to the rest of the interior.
Also, I notice some parts sharing on the door handles. They're the same ones on the Panamera and Cayenne (not a bad thing though).

These pictures are exactly why it blows ass. They're all cookie cutter now. That rear end looks like a Panamera, the interior is overdone. UGH. I'd even venture that the cockpit view of the PDK car looks VERY Mercedes-Benz. Look at the details, the shapes of the vents, etc.
So, so, so disappointing. I suppose I should be happy since this will guarantee I buy a vintage Porsche next.

I like it all, except the "full name" logo thing on the back.
Like said, we know it's a 911, and we defnetly know it's a Porsche.
May seen like a small detail, but I think it cheapens the look of the car. Kind of a Hyundai thing, all these logos...

^^ More of in how close the gear shift is to the steering wheel. And Porsche says the center console slope is inspired by the Carrera GT.
Porsche has been doing some pretty amazing stuff as of lately. And it is extremely surprising how realistic these 3D rendering artists can make their work look! I'm really impressed too!
