Apology accepted, but there's also no need to bash my country. I think many, if not most, of the folks here are aware the 997 was from 2004 in the rest of the world and a 2005-on model here. Same thing goes for the 993 (1994 RoW, 1995 here), numerous BMWs, etc.
Don't jump to conclusions if no one has made such a statement.

Finally found some time to comment on the new 991. First of all great job Teamspeed (DJ) for once again providing us first with the latest news from the Automotive world.
The Porsche 997 has been my absolute favorite 911 design of all times, a perfect mix of classic, pure sports-car with modern lines. Therefore, at first when I saw the 991, I wasn't very fond of it, I believed it had grown too fat, too bulky and had somehow lost some of it's purity. However, as of lately it's definitely growing on me, the last couple of pictures looked amazing (however, the last 997 Carreras still does too). Still not sure on the new front (especially the DRL's)as well as the interior which seem a bit too luxurious, especially as a platform for the forthcoming GT-cars. On the other hand though, oh my god what an ass! Love it!
I will save my final judgment til Frankfurt in September, but as I said it's really growing on me, and the rumored Nurburgring lap-times sound very, very promising.

Sorry if that offended you. Wasn't my point. Just a frustration of misleading information you guys often get over there and usual laziness to look beyond your backyard. We are all here, I guess and hope, to share our enthusiasm about 911 regardless where we come from...

FROM EUROPE!!! Stop with the piss poor generalizations. Either merge with traffic here or take the next exit.
