Informative post - thx guys! There is a bit more in that update than I originally thought... a nice evolution of the 997. Still wondering what, if any, of this will make it to the Turbo, GT3, GT2, etc.

I think this is going to be the same as "launch assist" on the 997 GT2 (i.e. computer assisted dumping the clutch for optimum off the line acceleration).

I thought it might be something like the idle up on the CGT so you can just release the clutch to move forward and engage 1st without reving up... hmmm... interesting.

Yes I believe Daedalus is correct; but I am guessing as well. That is the same feature found on the Aston Martin tranny...you engage first no need to touch the gas and the car pulls forward very slowly.

I could be wrong, but I'm not sure that this is a "feature" on the CGT per say. Always thought that this was just how the trany clutch/flywheel was setup.
