Holy s**t! Not what I was expecting when I clicked in the thread. I wonder if he really was 100% ok even though he got out and walked around.

I thought the same thing as well. The video isn't clear enough, so it could be a Cayman. But, I think it's a 911 that is shaped more like a Cayman after hitting that wall. I think the rear roofline took a severe dent which makes it appear more like a Cayman.

The engine looks to be in the middle on the flip, so I bet a Cayman... That crash is insane! I would think AT LEAST his legs would be broken from the way the door/front arch slammed into the top of the wall.

that being said, i can't wait to learn more about this story.
After watching the vid a few more times; it hit me- maybe the guy who pulled over was the 'other guy' he was racing. Turned his lights off to not attract attention.

Maybe?

I'd go to the parking lot entrance, get a parking ticket and leave.

Would arrive the next day and make a "what the hell? i parked my p here and you let smone do this to it?" scene...

As it turns out, this is probably a 350/370Z and not a Porsche. If you watch closely, when the car flips, the exhaust pipes begin at the front end of the car...NOT a Porsche design.

Also, the article that I originally found this on at AutoBlog is also questioning the model and mentions it's probably a Z.

^^ The first time I saw the video I thought instantly it was a Z, but because autoblog said it was a Porsche I assumed it was. And yeah, the exhaust definetly come from the front.
