Some long awaited mods
Hi guys, been a while since I posted, but I get a lot of inspiration from the boards so decided to share some pics after some mods.
First off I want to say thanks to Tom at Champion Motorsports and Dan at Sharkwerks for all their help in getting me the goodies. Their service was excellent and everything arrived safely to my door in Dubai.
The car turned out great and it feels and sounds like I just got a new car. I added the Champion RG5s with a 9 inch front and 12 inch rear, dropped the car on techArt springs, added a Tubi exhaust for that sexy sound and added some techArt tips to finish it off.
The Tubi is fantastic, worth every penny, perfect at cruise and as soon as you put your foot in it, she sings. Windows down, top retracted, through a tunnel sounds like heaven! Downshifts gurgle and spit, and the sound on the overrun is amazing.
Sorry I don;t have video, my iPhone video clip sounds exactly like the Sharkwerks clip on youtube. I must say for anyone shopping for an exhaust system nothing beats hearing it in person. So much character is lost in the recording, the bass, the tonal character etc. From my experience the Tubi is everything it's said to be, no drone at cruise, sonerous at full throttle, with a nice bark when you start the car. Really makes me smile every morning.
The springs were perfect, maybe could have used a bit more of a drop, but I have a lot of steep driveways and speedbumps here in Dubai so I'm happy; no scrapes at all. The ride is slightly firmer, and still very comfortable. In my opinion, an improvement over the stock setting. I do have PASM BTW. The drop was about a quarter inch in the front and a half inch in the rear.
The wheels look great and the offset is perfect as they now sit out a bit more thus eliminating my need for spacers with the stock rims. Plus, they are strong enough for track use once the season starts. Some more suspension mods could be in the works come October!
On to some pics. Thanks for reading.
