I love the Speedster and in white --- oh man --- there are very few drop tops on the planet i would take over it. Would be a tough call between that and a 16M.

i honestly would take your Spyder over a Speedster based on my current impressions (not having seen one in person)

Can someone explain why this car costs 200k ???

It's all about marketing. Marketing is perception.

It's similar to why some people pay twice as much for a Yankees' jersey than a Brewers' jersey. Both made of the same material, but one says Yankees.

It's a Speedster.

I saw one in blue, absolutely stunning and absolutely 60K over priced. It's a wide body C2S with a power kit. It won't drive any different. Now that VW has this influence over Porsche, I think that there is a real bastardization of the brand brewing with 20+ variants of the 911. The thought to keep in mind is the steep depreciation that overtakes every car that is not the next "cool" 911. A C2S 2 years old is now worth about 60 % of sticker with low miles. Porsche is going to bring about a "crash after the bubble" of their own cars. How will any of us be expected to buy a new 998 when we're 6 months away from the bottom falling out because of a cooler variant about to submarine the value of our "new car."

So lets say we stay within Porsche

How does a salesman convince you to buy a speedster over a Turbo S cab (which is even cheaper!). Hell even for the same price how can you consider the Speedster? I mean please tell me every single option box is already ticked at that price

I saw a Blue one today as well. Very cool car. $205k cool, no. But cool non the less. I was amazed at how close the blue leather on the seats and dash details matches the car color.
