Thread bump! Car is finished. It's in Ohio and they just got like a foot of snow, so I won't be up to get it for a while. The list of what was done:

Oil Change/Filter
IMS Retrofit (OEM IMS was in good shape when replaced with LN Engineering retrofit)
RMS (which was the culprit for the oil seeping)
New flywheel bolts
Spark Plugs
Oil Seperator
Chain adjuster
Some cam shaft end plugs
Some cylinder head plugs

I just need some decent weather to get up to Ohio and get it!

Nice. Your M96 is bulletproof now! We need some pics and a thorough write-up once you get her back

Charles at LN Engineering is good people and makes excellent products. I'm running his slip-fit Nickies with JE Pistons in my 911SC.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the ballpark on this preventative maintenance? I've been faced with the same issue as well on picking up a 996.

All in all, it run me approx $3800. Note, I did the full RMS, IMS, Air/Oil Separator, spark plugs, oil change, fix of a rattle in the exhaust and a few other misc. things...Slightly beyond the standard RMS/IMS/AOS. Also, my Indy tech is both exceptionally thorough and expensive, but, if you want it done to high standards, in Ohio, it's where you go. He's actually turned away people and won't work on their Porsches if they try to half-ass it and attempt to get him to not fix something properly. The long and short of it, you can do it cheaper--I just had some extra stuff done. I know, at least in Ohio, Porsche of North Olmsted will also this work...not all dealers are cool like that.
