The same could be said for almost every generation of the 911..........

It isn't bad, but I am not a fan. The back of this car is getting huge and high off the ground. It makes the car look bloated and have a fat ass. Don't get me wrong, I love the WIDE body Turbos with their wide ass, but this is TALL. That's no good. 911 is all about pure sports cars. I understand; however, that it is all about making money, which is why the interior and exterior spy shots have shown that this car is getting bigger and more jammed full of stuff. I can tell you that for this reason, my first 911 will be this [Look at how low that rear end is!].

Now thinking about it, it's very obvious where Porsche got the inspiration for the rear from. The Carrera GT. Just look how the rear fenders are connected by a spoiler with a small lip that rises at a certain speed. Very much like the Carrera GT. Now I realize why I love it so much. Also, if you don't dig this new 991, remember, if Porsche can make a two ton truck feel like a sportscar, just imagine how Porsche can now make a sports car feel. Also, I'm getting a very speedster-esque feel from the cabrio.

Here's a rearview picture with the spoiler deployed

I think both the new boxster and 911 will get some 918 influences

Awesome Wild-Speed! I also see PCCB's on that prototype. To me, this 911 seems like the perfect candidate for the classic bar style lights, although they will probably only be available on 4WD models. BTW, I hear that the design for this car is done, and basically, Porsche just needs to get a couple of issues sorted out, and it's on to the press release, and all of their renderings and press pictures. I hope this will come in manual like WCF says.

The new 911 is the push to convince me that the Cayman Clubsport will be what I want in 2012...
