Christophorus magazine is pretty awful already, but I had to share this especially cringeworthy article with you guys. I'm going to guess that no one on this board is featured in this article.

My question is: How many patients have died on the operating table because their neurosurgeon DIDN'T have a GT3?

I think Christophorus is actually pretty good. This article is stupid though.

Does that mean my TT is too slow? Is my board certification in jeopardy unless I get a GT3?

i don't see how the article is cringe worthy....although some of the claims of saving patients live because they drive a Porsche is exaggerated.

Whatever the case, of the top of my head i can think of several doctors here on TS with better collections and cars.

On the other hand articles like this don't help doctors make the case that they are underpaid and they are for what it takes to become one.

Never heard of that magazine. Is it religious or something? I'm sorta getting that vibe.

Hahaha. That's my favorite part of the whole article. Implying that the GT3 was necessary to get to the hospital faster. I certainly hope that isn't the case, otherwise I will personally be putting money for all my doctors for their mandatory Veyrons.

I just think these articles are so ostentatious - having the docs pose beside their cars with arms crossed, all wearing scrubs, etc. Such a puff piece. I don't know anything about the quality of the docs - I am sure they are qualified to some degree and I don't question their skill - but the quotes and pics make them look really obnoxious and are not doing any favors to the health care industry in this economy. If they talked about liking the cars because they like Porsches, racing history, or for ANY reason other than the cars being "precise like their job" I would find the article more manageable. I can't tell if it is more embarrassing to me as a Porsche fan or as someone entering the field.

Christophorus is the free magazine Porsche sends to its US customers in most states. The articles are about as insightful as the BMW or Mercedes magazines that come free with ownership.

I generally toast other people's success and wish them well and do the same for these guys. But this article doesn't do much for the "911 owner in CA" stereotype.

I did like the nephrologist with the 225K mile porsche, that's pretty hardcore.

It's a rag sent to Porsche owners. Some of it is interesting, a lot of it is thinly disguised advertising, and that article makes those guys sound like gigantic douches. They should stick to articles about racing and historic events.
