My Dealer has a GT3RS he's taking "bids" on - I offered 10K under sticker :-)

Seriously - That is the ultimate racecar. The GT3RS is the beez-kneez. If I had very little common sense, and a bigger garage, I'd buy that car over anything else.

For me, the Turbo S fits my needs - a versitile, somewhat all-around sprotscar.

If my needs were different - I could see the Speedster as a practical alternative.

i'm just glad to know that i'm not alone in feeling that the 997 is one of the great designs in the carmakers history.

My vote - GT3RS - Hands Down.

If you included the GT2RS which is more in line with the price that the Speedster is, I'd pick that.

Front and rear, the new Porsche 911 (997) Speedster.

The Speedster is timeless, where as the Turbo S, and GT3 RS will be replaced with something better. Even if the Speedster is replaced, it's still different. Right now, if you own a 996 Turbo S, it's not as great as owning a 997 Turbo S, for whatever reason. But it doesn't matter if you own a 993, 930, or 964 Speedster, they are all still VERY special and always will be. Too bad there was no 996 Speedster. I think that would look kind of awkward though.

What a tough crowd.... seriously how can you not love the new Speedster? The one they made in the mid 80's was the tits, this is even better. Of course, this is the same crowd that finds fault with the Ferrari 458 design which is simply awesome.

Love all the speedsters. Didn't understand the 930 Speedster porschecarraramay8th......referenced. What is that? The 89' 911 Speedster maybe? I just hope this new one has the lower windshield and it's definately a keeper.

Hate the 458 design. 400i, Mondial and now 458. If I wanted a Gallardo I'd buy one. Ferrari blew this car. So I guess we disagree on that one.
