RENDERED: Porsche 911 (991) Carrera
#12
the wing a little bit more to the left and the left rearlight a little bit more to the right and a bit up, i think this should look better.
But thanks for the soure image, there are way more differences than I thought.
I saw the 996 style in it, that's true, that's why I like the current one more.

I tried my best to proportion the wing better. Do you like it better, or worse?

Imagine the seems of the rear vent extending further and work with those lines. . . This is how a designer or engineer would think, "less is more". You don't want to disrupt the flow of the car's lines with jagged edges and 90 degree angles. Smooth, straight, and simple. Look at the panamera for examples, the wing is integrated directly into the same frame as the rear window. When it's not in use, it doesn't even appear to be there. "good design is less design". Some cars are designed with the complete opposite philosophy, but Porsche works this way. Every line has a purpose and a "visual connection" with another line.
I made an example for you on the 997. So what's your story, are you aspiring to be a designer one day? You definitely have a good start if thats the direction you want to go in.

Thanks everyone for the criticism (esp. zbaums), and all aspects were assessed, and the op is now updated with the refreshed renders. Also, here is the first fully fledged rendering I've ever made.

It is a great rendering, but I much prefer the look of the current 911.
EDIT: after looking at it for a few minutes, I actually now prefer it to the current 911! I made some slight adjustments to yours, and tried to take away some of the 'busyness' from the back.

Well, ya that does get rid of the business, but it's no practical.
how will the engine release heat?
Also, to zbaums, I want to be a Porsche designer some day, and that's the reason I dis like Porsche tuners and aftermarket rims on Porsches. Because it doesn't fit their design DNA.
I'm working on a digital render only for the front, and not a real life one. I have the car drawn out, but I just need to add some more reflections and brush it now. Here it is.
I think I'll even write up a tutorial if you want to know how to render!

Sorry guys, but I am not posting my rendering of the front because it's very ugly. I don't know what went wrong, but, it's ugly. But, anyone wants, they can render the front outline I provided. Since I'm not going to do a front render, does anyone have anymore ideas for my rear render?
