H&R vs Eibach

Does the H&R lower the 997's more than the Eibachs? which is better? I beleive the champion motorsports are made by H&R and techARTs by Eibach..

any experience with either?

I'd go for the Eibachs.

H&R's come pre-sagged. Meaning when you install them, after a bit of being on the car- the car won't change in ride height. Its been years since I've played with aftermarket springs- but I've had great luck with H&R and a lot of the 997's and various German cars run H&R's in DTM and GT series races.

Interesting. Most of the data on the "other" porsche forums suggest the opposite... that H&R's sag over time.

I went with Eibach on my C2S because they do not lower the car as much as the H&R springs do. This puts less stress on the shocks and helps prevent premature wear and failure.

When I read and saw that H&R sponsered Porsche, Mercedes Benz AMG and BMW I figured if their good enough to use their springs they're good enough for my car.

that and the pre-sag on them made up my mind.

carfan is an unknown quantity at this point
I used 2 times H&R products, but not on Porsche cars:

- Cup Kit suspension (shocks and lowering springs): I bent 2 shocks, they were too soft... Cars was too low and didn't handle that great

- Lowering springs only: good enough for me

This was on VW GTi's

Now I have a 997.2 C4S and I installed Techart lowering springs, made by Eibach. The installer was amazed that they had more turns and were higher than OEM springs. Once installed, the car was lowered despite of this

EIBACH are progressive springs and so far, they have been excellent !

I would't buy H&R springs again; I feel more confident with EIBACH
