Arrow video: my C4S hill climb for sound (but there was a motorcycle in my way)

2008 Porsche 997 C4S PSE with 200 cell Fabspeed sport cats. I tried to capture the sound by mounting the camera to the back glass, the wind kicks in a bit at around 90mph. Couldn't attack the mountain as fast as I wanted to; a lot of traffic, and a motorcycle that wouldn't pull over. I had to pull over myself, wait for him to get ahead for a bit, then try again, It was still a fun Sunday drive : )

I think the video came out great and thank you for taking the time to make this for us man!

So... what did you decide on the wheels?

I've had one response, the offer was $150 off each wheel...

Cool vid. Sounds almost like a blow-off valve goes off at times.

I purchased the “Gripper 3025” (I know, I know…) mount from a place called “Film Tools”, www.filmtools.com

Here’s a description from their website about this mount:

The Filmtools Gripper 3025 6" vacuum/ suction cup camera mount with silver metal mount is perfect for film and video cameras, scopes and camcorders with a standard 1/4-20 thread receptacle base.

Mini-DV Videographers can now execute tricky car interior shots with a "Big Studio Look" by rolling the side window up 6" and place the Filmtools Gripper 3025 camera mount on the outside surface, with the camera looking in. For best sound, use remote microphones.

The Filmtools Gripper 3025 has many features of a tripod, but is designed for people on the go! Because they attach and release in seconds, they can be moved quickly from one place to another on autos, RV's, boats, windows, countertops... virtually any smooth, non-porous surface! The rubber pad won’t mar or damage most surfaces. Knobs on the head provide infinite positioning and control for tilting and panning cameras, scopes and camcorders. A spring-balanced pump ensures a consistent vacuum level and a red-line indicator warns if there is any drop in holding power.

The thing is almost indestructible… and you can mount it almost anywhere

Some photo’s I just took out in the garage

To make that vid, I just mounted it at the lower right side of the back glass

Mounts on the side of the car...

Front, or wherever...

Thanks, still trying to find a set of wheels (and clear sides, and paint the lower rockers, and a set of TechArt springs, and... )

That is a great video. I couldn't hear much wind noise at all just that glorius sounding exhaust! Did u have the wing fixed as an option?
