unplug the vacuum control unit in the engine bay = on all the time (then add 200 cell sport cats)

Love the sound, and I like the idea on/off... Good for not walking up the neighbors late at night

Best exhaust upgrade for the 997 I've heard. Would be an obvious choice if I had one

Anyone else miss the 997.1 PSE exhaust tips? I LOVED that look of one big, one small pipe.

Sounds great regardless!

I really think that the PSEs of it's predecessors sounded so much better. I have driven all of them (cabs with roof down), and the 996 Carrera 4S Plus (swiss special edition, basically a 4S with the power pack (345hp instead of 320) ) I drove sounded meanest!

The 997.1 4S also sounds great, but the 996 just has that absolutely amazing throaty sound to it and only gets higher-pitched up top. It sounds like a vomiting fire breathing dragon, as Mr. Clarkson would say.
I find that precisely that sound has almost vanished on the 997.2 (it was already diminued on the .1). It sounds too high pitched and it is simply too quiet. The tubi doesn't sound all that bad.
From the videos, it doesnt sound like any aftermarket exhaust I have heard can duplicate that low frequency BELLOW of the 996, they all emit a raspy higher pitch.

I must say that I'm a bit disappointed...

Not quite sure... does anyone know if the new PSE still goes quiet from 20-40mph because of noise regs?
