Most of are looking for aftermarket wheels for our 997's.. and after looking on the net for the perfect looking wheel, we come to another road block; shall we buy these wheels in 19"s or 20"s? and after thinking and going back and forth a million times, we concluded the following:

19" wheels:
- you wont sacrifice the ride and handling with 19" wheels
- you save alot of money because you can use your stock tires with 19"s
- they dont look as good as the 20"s

20" wheels:
- the car looks terrific with 20"s no doubt about that

so most of us opt to go to a 19" set-up..

therefore lets make this thread helpful for those wanting to install 19"s but are worried about it not looking that great..

I think OEM 19s from porsche are the best looking rims... for me aftermarket rims on a porsche is a big no, no.

which ones do you have right now? Carerra S type IIs?

 

I'll take the black one with the blk rims ... so mean.

^^^ yup it is Sharky's car!! very nice.. i love the stance of the car after the techART lowering springs.. but as i told sharky, i dont like the new techART wheels.. nonetheless.. what an amazing car..

yeah i have the Carrera S type II, and they are nice dont get me wrong, but i beleive if u r in the market for some aero stuff like a front bumper, side skirts, and a rear spoiler its a must to change ur stock wheels.. even if u stick to 19"s..
