Carrera S stopped by our shop this week

It's rare that we ever see customer at our shop since most of our sales are done through our dealer, shops or customers over the phone. This customer was local so he drove up a few times and bought some carbon from us. We installed the ashtray, and handbrake a few weeks back. On Monday he came in for some more and we installed the airbag horn ring (took about 10 minutes) and the inside door sill (took about 15 minutes) He also got our door trim pieces, and defroster vents.

Enjoy the pics!

That looks great Lane.

I have the CF strip along the bottom of the windshield-defroster like you show in your pic above - OEM from Porsche. The piece is just a strip of CF glued to the leather. It has peeled off once before. They replaced it and now it is peeling off again.

How can I prevent this??

Thanks Dana,

You can't really prevent this because the way porsche does this piece is that they just glue down a thin strip of cf, and Porsche's factory CF just isn't very good.

We do the whole panel in CF rather than just the thin strip like Porsche does.

Here is some better pics of what our panel looks like:

Thanks guys, I think the grey interiors really need some sort of contrast, and carbon does the job.

It's too bad that strip of CF is so shiny. It must reflect a bunch at the wrong time of day. Perhaps you should have gone with a flat finish?

We offer the defroster vent pieces in matte carbon as well, but most of our customers go for the glossy ones like in the pictures. I haven't had anyone complain about them so, the reflections must not be that bad.
