With shoulder surgery, I just slowed down a bit. that's all. I'd love to get one, and probably will.

Your Porsche is awesome!! It looks great already, can't wait to see what it becomes!!

I have to ask, as I'm a HUGE Z fan... What's your 240Z like?

There's not a stock part on the car.

The Z is more special to me than the 911. It's the 14th one I've owned. I paid my way through college working on them. Just never could afford to do them like I want to, but finally, I can.

When MiniD says there's not a stock part on the car, here's what he means.
It's a 1972 no rust car. Lime on black. 4speed, of course. I bought it from Cali and took it totally apart. We soda blasted the entire car, cut out every tinge of rust and welded in new metal. Every seam has been laser aligned. I can truly say that the car is PERFECT (six figure unibody restoration, so it should be). I took it back to lime. Every interior piece is old, but has never been put into a car now. It's a term called NOS (new old stock). It means that we found nearly every piece, still in the DATSUN plastic wrap. The interior is totally, absolutey stock but has never ever been touched. Perfect. However, I got a 2003 Nissan Sylvia Turbo SR20DET with 6 speed, built the engine up so strong that the 6 speed can't handle it, got an S14 5 speed... Nismo LSD. Fully fabricated adjustable control arms. Coilovers. 5 lug conversion. Sway bars, etc. From the outside, it looks totally stock other than the stance, the 5 lug 17" CCW Classic 3 piece wheels with Michelin PS2s. The bumpers have had the rubber and bumperettes taken off and all the holes welded shut, then triple chromed. Other than that, it has a slight chin spoiler too because these cars have nose-lift issues with stock bodies. Lastly, it has a front mount intercooler, full Greddy kit, new AEM engine management system, etc. 6 piston Wilwood brakes. All that too. Everything you can possibly do. Here are four pics. The first is as it was when I bought it. The second shows how far we went on the resto, and the third and fourth show where we are right now. Hope you like!

Wow I can't believe I've never seen pics of your Z. That's awesome Jared. What kind of timeline are you on to have it finished?

6-8 weeks. It would be done by now if it weren't for a shortage of stainless steel right now. All my hoses: brake, clutch, fuel, etc is all stainless. Every fitting is too. All we need now is some #8 fittings and we're ready to go again. Can't put anything else in though until we get the brake proportioning valve into the interior.

Thanks for the kind words, ATL! It IS weird that you haven't seen it.

Jared, listen to me and pick up this supplement called "Supercissus", it will speed up your recovery and make your joints feel unbelievable as it's a joint supplement but repairs tendons/bone health, etc..!
