First Post & 911 Color Dilemma
Hi Guys,
This is my first post and I'm very excited to be here.
I'm driving 911s for a couple of decades and obviously love them. I didn't even know about your Forum until I went on the web looking for old Porsche colors for my next 997 C4S Cab and ran into you here so my lucky day and maybe I can pick your brain.
The lease for my 911 is running out soon and I need to pick another one. I've been leasing 911s since 1987 and probably will until I'm too old to drive I like them so much. Since it's my only car I need the C4 for the snow or ice.
Right now I have a 2006 C4S Cab (I always get convertibles too so that throws another color in the mix too) which is Arctic Silver with a special order Lipstick Red interior , which is gorgeous....I love that color combo and I never thought I'd like Arctic Silver but with the red it is a subtle yet stunning looking car. I have a black top too.
I'm always in this boat when it comes to leasing another car...confused about color combos that is. The last one before this one was midnight blue with natural brown interior; the one before that an Arena red with sand interior and the one before that a Pastel yellow with Black; the one before that a Guards red with black.
I'm halfway tempted to repeat the same color combo as I have now but worry that I might get tired of it after 4 more years and I've never done that before either. Just so you know and you can maybe put yourself in my shoes, I'm 61 years old so the greens and the oranges are just not in my realm of possibility.
The colors I'm considering now are:
--Aqua Blue Metallic with a dark blue (Sea Blue) inside and a Blue top.
--Same car with a black inside and top
--Ruby Red Metallic with a sand inside and a black top.
--Ivory with a Cocoa inside and a cocao top
--Polar Silver (slight ice blue tint with a darker red interior (I can't think of the name of it now but it's very dark but not burgundy)and a black top
Then I started to consider older colors like maybe Oak Green (which I've always loved). Any ideas about any of these colors or others I'd appreciate it very much.
I'm open to any ideas. What do you think? Thanks in advance.
I'm very happy to be here!
Best regards,
Tom

Welcome aboard Tom!
I say go for something different, just to switch it up a bit
I love Ruby Red with the black top, get the PDK, and try and see if you can do some ruby red deviated stitching to bring some color in the interior (don't know how it will look)

Welcome to the forum.
I think color choice is very personal and the best thing to do is to go with your gut feeling. Something I found helpful when I narrowed my choices down to SY, GR and Cobalt was to go to my dealer who had each of these colors on the lot in the form of Boxsters (the odds of finding a bunch of Carreras in your colors is not as great!). When I saw the SY I went with it.
I think the new Aqua Blue is really nice looking. Check out this car on Rennlist which is AB with black/stone interior: It's Here, Finally! - Now Updated with interior photos - Rennlist Discussion Forums Very cool.

spec'd out a few others for you
Aqua Blue Metallic Natural Brown Black Top

There was no ivory white, did you mean cream?
Can someone pshop the one below cream? the configurator was giving me a red x when I was trying

It would look something like this classic combo

Thanks for such quick feedback Russ. I'm thinking about the Cream (Ivory) very seriously. The dealer said he saw that colr with Sand Beige and it was stunninmg so I might go that route.
