Driving my New Holiday Porsche - WOW!
Just picked up my 997.2 C4S coupe that I ordered nearly a year ago. Here are a few impressions noted on a 350 mile trip down south for the holidays.
WOW do I love this car. This is my 3rd Porsche and my 6th 'sports car' and in comparison this is quite the car; from fit and finish to road handling quality...all superior. The PDK is superior to any other tranny that I have driven; one minor glitch in Sport mode auto downshift to 1st is a bit jarring but all other transitions are seamless and very quick. The new engine is quick; power at all RPMs is steady, responsive, no lag...great sound in acceleration. The PCCBs are fantastic, smooth stopping power, no grab just inituitive. The handling at high speeds was solid; like riding on a rail. None of that floaty front end from the 996 series. I am very pleased with the mechanics of this car. The PCM interface is easy and works well with navi, ipod and blue tooth....all quick and simple. Bose upgraded sound is solid and bit bass heavey but clear. The 350 mile trip (primarily down I 95) was comfortable in the adaptive sport seats and an overall great driving experience. All I want to do is drive this car!
So there you have it. I will post some pix in a few weeks of the Atlas Grey with full natural grey leather interior.
cheers,

truth or pics!
Gee, I guess some folks do make this stuff up and then post under an assumed handle...I don't get it....Anyway I will post some pics but will take a few weeks...currently on the road away from home base. Plus I want to make sure to capture Atlas Grey under most favorable light conditions use the right lens; hey can't you tell a compulsive Porsche owner when you read their post?
