The fact that it sounds reasonable when you add up all the options and when you arrive to carbon, leather and interior items you get to pay up a lot. For example I just couldnt hold my self when I choose the options on my cayenne they were about 20k with larger wheels, panaromic roof, voice control, quad tail pipes etc.

Drop dead funny.

I think putting leather on those transition pieces would totally ruin the aesthetics of said item and result in an all together different and less pleasing appearance.

But FWIW I think most of the Porsche leather options are an overpriced joke- I'd never spend my $ on leather covered coat hangers or fuseboxes. If I had that much disposable income I'd be calling Alois and Mrs. Ruf and tell them to get out the "book".

I bet there are upholstery shops that can cover things in leather for a lot less.
