You just get a terrible phone call saying your car has been delayed (probably won't say why) and continue waiting, and waiting...

Do they take these to the body shop or write them off as a total loss? I'd hate to get a "new" car that's been in a train wreck.

You joke but this was posted on one of our UK Porsche forums yesterday:


Have just been told that my 997 C4S (which I was due to collect on Saturday) was one of the vehicles involved in the recent German train crash. New car is being re-ordered today, but will be end of January before delivery. Feeling of slight disappointment!
