New to TS. INTRO to me and my built 997. Many pics.
Hey guys,
Name's Jared. Some of you might know me from the 6speed forum. That was my car that Fabryce just posted pics of with the 997 center exit exhaust. Another buddy on here suggested that I make a page introducing myself and my 911 to you guys. So...
It started as a 2006 997S. I bought it new. Basalt Black Metallic with 2 tone leather, PASM, all the goodies but PCCB.
I've gone through so many different configurations to get the car where I want it. I've done 20s. I've done 19s. Now I'm with 18s. I've had 4 exhausts on the car, now I'm good with GMGs new one. I've had 3 body kits, and am happy with going with an OEM GT3/RS setup. I've had H&Rs. I've had Bilstiens. Now I have Motons, and I'm happy there. I have a big GMC Duramax (37" boggers) and an enclosed trailer that I trailer it to the track with, but I just drove it from LA to San Francisco and thrashed it all over the coastal backroads and it was FANTASTIC. Now, it's in a rig being shipped back to me here in North Carolina. If there's a mod for these cars, I've probably done it. If it isn't on my car, it's probably a bad mod in my opinion (other than a fat steering wheel, I want one...). I look forward to being part of your group on here. I'm thirty. Married with a newborn. Own my own resort development/consulting/sales/marketing company (actually, each one is it's own company, but you know...).
Oh, I've got a TON of slightly used 997 parts if any of you want some... stock and mods. I really like how my car is now.
The car was built by Synergy Racing which is a 997 race team actually located at Virginia International Raceway (Synergy Racing - Official Web Site, ask for Kerrigan Smith).
Parts have been bought through Fabryce at GMG:
GT3 control arms, Motons, Monoball solid mounts, GMG exhaust, GMG sway bars, GMG dog bones, GMG carbon/kevlar rear bumper, GMG roll bar/half cage, GMG front carbon vent, GMG carbon fiber GT3RS rear deck lid and wing, GMG thermal coated exhaust and headers, GMG wheel spacers, GMG rear tow hook)
Parts have been bought through Dan at Vivid Racing:
19" Volk Racing TE-37s and 18" HRE C93 wheels and Brembo 15" 6 piston big brakes, Quaife Limited Slip Differential
Parts have been bought through Chris Lawson at CDOC:
Cobra carbon fiber seats, OMP 6 point harnesses, Traqmate GPS lap analyzation system, ChaseCams X 2, DasSport Jack plate).
Synergy also installed their own racing clutch, lightweight flywheel, and engine lowering kit. I also bought a VF Engineering Supercharger. It's great. I run Toyo R888s on the street and Dunlop slicks on the track.
Here are some pics. I didn't list anything that I don't use anymore, which is a garage full.

Thanks!
Jared

I figured I should show a pic of the VF blower too.
Here's a sound bite of the exhaust. I thought Fabryce would cut out the section in the middle. If I'd have known he wasn't going to, I'd have shown off like the redneck I am!
