Small Road Trip coming up. Any advice?
I am in Detroit. My cousin is getting married Oct. 25th down in Virginia.
I plan to take my 2000 996. It has 70K miles on it and runs great. It is about 600 miles one way. I will leave Thursday night, stop somewhere for the night, and finish the trip Friday morning.
I know it isn't a ton of miles, but should I do anything special to prepare? Can I run the car "high revs" for an hour or more? Should I give the car a rest every once in a while and cruise at 70MPH?
I just had the car at Auto Europe for a few days. They changed oil, new spark plugs, new Michelin PS2's, Alignment, new alternator, checked brakes and everything else.
Am I good to go?
I'll return home on Sunday/Monday.
I have a V1, any special tips for Turnpike driving? I'll probably go through OH, PA, and make a stop in Frederick, MD at my aunt's house before getting to VA.

Yeah, I know...but better safe than sorry. I figure that you guys might clue me in on any special tips....
After all...before coming to these sites, I never new about carbon fiber parts, or the V1...
I've been in SUV's for 15 yrs....
Cheers! I'll drive the crap out of it...

Ahh...you know I almost forgot...If I have my V1 Plugged in, I can't use my I-pod adapter, so I better burn some CD's.
Thanks.

Don't you have an extra power outlet by the passenger side's left leg?

And send Josh the bill afterwards
