Ruf Develops Electric Powered Porsche 911
Following recent rumours of a fully electric powered Cayman prototype, it has been revealed that the Porsche specialty tuner, Ruf, has in fact developed a fully electric powered 997 prototype. It features a 204hp (150kW) electric motor producing 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque.
Despite carrying 550 kilograms (96 battery cells each weighing 5.6 kg) worth of Axeon lithium-ion batteries, the 911 goes from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 7 seconds. After some mathematical acrobatics, a theoretical top speed of 224 km/h (139mph) is possible given its 1900 kg weight and 160 amps per cell. The 911 EV has a range of 250-300 km (155-180 miles) under normal driving conditions.

not soft at all, AFAIK the ER is a Ruf project not a Ruf production, at present they are building the normal "hard" cars as usual, btw, the ER is very strange to drive as it drives like a normall 911 but without the sound and feel associated with the 911 boxer, when i drove it i have found it to be superior to the Tesla i drove in LA due to the real car feeling it has compared to the Tesla's more raw cart like driving experience

Finally a Porsche 911 that I can beat with my Cooper S. The performance is on par with the MCS, both 0-60 and top speed. IF the electrical car is ever gonna work, they need to make the performance and "mpg" as good as the regular cars are.
