Great pics of the little man.
Shortly after Jox posted that picture I received the title and it's salvaged, no wonder I got such a good deal on it.

Just say "no" to Turbo/GT parts on a Carrera...it's poseuriffic.

But hey, not my car, so who cares what I think!? Congrats on the new car man.

States the guy nobody knows.

Some of the Turbo / GT3 parts are not only for looks.

Thanks for the comment--I think. That's funny you think it's "poseuriffic" considering that you can order the factory aero kit directly from Porsche ($6,000 option) on any 997, parts are identical to the GT3.

Agreed, not a big fan, but damn that color combo is to die for!

Congrats ATL!

Yes, I'm an enigma, a ghost...the man, the myth, teh Ginger! But you can call me Matt.

In the case of someone putting them on their 911 Carrera (that probably will never see a track), they are most certainly for looks. Unless all that extra downforce is a necessity for slicing and dicing through ATL traffic jams or midnight runs to the grocery....

You could also order an M3 front bumper from BMW and put it on your 330. Just because you "can" doesn't mean you have to.

But like I said, your car, not mine. I just don't think it looks that good...not unless you go all out and get the entire kit...and then it looks like a GT3 or Turbo, when in reality, it's not. It's up to you, but I personally think the car looks good as is.

Well thank you for the warm welcome!

And I was using "your" in the general sense...it was an example, as I had the E46 in mind. I read your "what to get" thread and see you settled on a auto 335 vert...why, after that gorgeous C2S, I don't know. I hope it's only temporary.

I think the beauty of cars like the 911 (and even the 330 Bimmer) is that they are excellent daily driver cars that come from heritage of purpose built cars, in this case the GT3, or the M3 in the case of the Bimmer. Along with that heritage comes a deep parts bin of both body and performance parts that the enthusiast can use to individualize their particular car. I mean, if you're looking for a slightly more aggressive look, what better route to take then OEM?
