Hey! I took that picture! That's a friend's 997TT although right now it has HRE wheels with orange lips and blacked out centers. It's simply INSANE looking! Too bad it's a tiptronic.
Here you guys go

I'm going to spend a little phone time this weekend and figure it all out.

Dave -
As you know, I was specing out a nice C4S (lots of addons). One thing I noticed was that I was creeping into the Turbo range.
I also believe (right or wrong?) that the long term depreciation rate on the turbo is less than the C4S. So, when I ever go to sell, I might be "in" for about the same or perhaps even a bit less. Who knows.
After driving the turbo for 3 months now, I'm really glad I got it. That torque is incredible and the car is infinitely tunable (with the GT1 based engine).
If I'm wrong with the above logic, don't correct me. I like my reality.

Coochas, I also came out of a 996 C4S - it was a great car and does super on the track. Now that I have had my turbo for four months, I would not trade it for any car - I just love it. The power/torque is just mind boggling. Sometimes I think I am going to launch right off the road
However, in my situation, I no longer take my car to the track. After writing a check for $158k, and no insurance on the track, I just can't bring myself to take that risk. I have gone to the Porsche Sport Driving track/classes in Birmingham to unleash that need - but I have become kindof anal about protecting my turbo (except on the backroads of the Washington Cascade Mountains!). Just food for thought! Tracking is not so important to me, and with time I will be back, but not now.

Thanks Greta.
I just took my C4S out on the track last weekend for the first time and had a blast. I'm going to the PSDS for 4 days in October as well and am psyched for that event.
I do plan on tracking my turbo once I have it...I figure 102K vs 150K - either way it sucks if it crashes!
Good to hear from ya!
