I Want My MPG!!
After babying my 997TT for 300 miles while breaking in a new racing clutch and LWFW, I find that my MPG has risen above 15 MPG for the first time that I can remember.
What kind of MPG are you guys and gals getting?
To put the numbers in perspective, please specify the following:
1. Type of car and current gas mileage.
2. Do you have mods and, if so, specify what you have had done.
3. What type of gas you are using (e.g., race gas vs. pump gas and the octane level).
4. State the environment that you most often drive in (e.g., rural or urban).
5. Describe the type of driving that you most often do (e.g., spirited, relaxed, highway, traffic level, etc.).
This may produce some interesting results.
I will start.
1. I have a 2007 997TT and am getting 15 MPG.
2. I have Stage II mods (exhaust, plenum, pulley, ECU, Sachs clutch and LWFW, 20" HRE P43)
3. I use 91 octane with a 10% - 20% infusion of racing fuel rated at 109 octane.
4. I drive in a heavy urban and high traffic setting - Orange County, CA - but can often open her up out on the toll roads.
5. Regarless of the environment, I drive the car pretty hard most of the time - I LOVE speed.
I am curious to see how this little survey pans out. Should be interesting.
ps. Sorry if this sounds like a witness interrogation. It's in my blood!
