'09 vs '10?

OK, let's say you've got a slot for an '09 TT and you can spec it how you like it.

'09
GT1 Block still in play
Time tested (though short time) design cues
Updated PCM and BT
Still crappy exhaust and bad steering wheels

'10
Likely M97 block
Likely fascia updates
Other physical changes possible
Better exhaust note?
Better steering wheels?
More power?
More efficient?
Other better things?

'09 will be a very short production run. Won't be surprised to see Sept to Jan then over. Then months off until the '10 hits with updated look and probably the M97 block.

Rumors are abundant on the block issue, so I know the time-trusted GT1 block is more desired. But knowing Porsche improves the vehicles year after year (mostly), and if you don't plan to tune it (M97 block less likely to tune), would you wait for the '10 or jump in on a known GT1-based '09?

Well I'll be submitting my specs for a November build spot. Hopefully a paint-to-sample won't bump me to next year,....I may have to go with another Speed Yellow if it looks like I'll get bumped.

Thanks Eric!

I would not get an m97 9A1 version, even if you have to take one off the floor.

Question: Does anyone have any hard evidence that the M97 block is less durable than the GT1 block or is this just another matter of Porsche lore?
