When was the last time Porsche did this to a new generation Turbo. You really think they are going go to a .2 in less then a year. Doubt it! This is not MB or KIA here folks. I wouldn't be too concern with everything you see and read on the internet. If you want to order a Turbo you should.

 

I wouldn't want to order one either if I knew this was coming so soon. It does look nice though...

 

Not trying to be flip here, but when was the last time Porsche introduced the Turbo S at the same time as the Turbo? Nothing Porsche does now would surprise me. If there is a change so soon, I would only expect a cosmetic change and not a .2. But what do I know?

 

I believe they are forced into this due to EU regulations.... it was not by choice
The rules don't talk only about light intensity anymore, they include a minimum size too

If I waited to buy every time I thought something new was coming in the next year or so, I'd probably never buy anything. However, that would make my wife happy...

Highly doubt we will see any .2 until 2017 (Fall '16 deliveries). So those who want to wait another 2 years may do so, those who don't care and want something amazing now, why not jump on it?

For the 997TT -- launched in '06 with .2 in '09. 991TT launch '14 (deliveries late '13) so .2 expected in '17 (deliveries late '16).

They are saying now that the pic of the 991TT "facelift" testing turned out to be a prototype that is just raking up development miles for the current model. It isn't actually a facelifted variant of the 991TT.

 

This makes me feel super about the decision to keep my 997 TTS. My dealer says demand for 997 TT and TTS are growing - they are starting to see pre-owned car prices creeping up. Who knows - but the poster who said just buy an amazing car now - that's the truth - all porsches are amazing cars - so what if there is a tweak here or there - its all awesome. never bad - just amazing driving machines.
