The Porsche 991 Turbo Picture Thread

How come most turbos come with that vertical plastic bit mounted on the outside edge of the front bumper duct? I've seen a couple turbos without it now (which looks better).
Is it an option? Are people removing it after the fact? What purpose does it serve?

I'm not talking about the active front lip, but the black plastic pieces that sit vertically beside the front DRLs. Maybe that's part of the "active aero" too. If so, are people just removing this piece for aesthetic reasons? If you look at the pictures that porsche just released of that grey on red exclusive 991 turbo, it doesn't have these pieces.

^ Turbo S comes like that. Standard Turbo doesn't. Reason why? No clue!
I've been meaning to ask the experts on here in fact, if you were to order a standard turbo with the CLs, CCBs and model name deletion...is there anything else in terms of exterior visuals that would give you away from a TTS other than:
(1) the front vents;
(2) Wing mirrors (TTS uses the GT3 wing mirrors which are different to the standard turbo)
??
