Dealer put Michelin Pilot Sport N2's on my TT...

Just back from my 30k service, asked for my Sport Cup's to be replaced by PS2's. Got my car back with a set of Pilot Sport N2. Went to the Michelin site, couldn't find a thing. I paid dealer retail and am a bit irked... Anyone know what the N2 designation is for?

Thank you in advance!

It's for the 3rs and 2rs
Had them on my TT and was very happy with them, but they are soft and will not last as long...

thanks for the reply Gray, these are Pilot Sport N2, not Cup N2... they are a treaded design, not what I have seen on RS cars? Hmmm...

The N2 just means the 3rd Porsche version of the tires. (N0 I'd first then N1 and so on.)
So really the only issue has to do with them putting Pilot Sport 2's on vs Cups
The price on cup tires are nearly double a PS2 so you could check and see which they billed you for. However they are not the cup tires like you asked for so they'll have to do something about that.

I think the OP wanted PS2s. He was just unsure if the N2 was something different. Sounds like the N2 is just a later generation of the tire. I don't think he was expecting cups

appreciate the responses, sorry if my post was poorly worded, I was replacing my Cups, wanted PS2's. My concern is that the installed tires are "Pilot Sport N2", and not "Pilot Sport 2 N2" - are these one and the same, or do I now have an outdated (inferior) tire?

Ahhh I understand. Well I highly doubt they are regular Pilot Sports. Look on the tire where it says Pilot Sport. In a very small black right past that it should say '' PS2'' it is very small but you should be able to see it. Hope that helps!
