BMW bringing tri turbo out announced the other day:
Rumor: New BMW M3 with tri-turbo engine and 450 hp

If the next gen turbo 911 is PDK only, I'll either keep my '09 or move to something else (WTF?)....hopefully Porsche will remain a true sports car and offer some of us the chance to move the gears ourselves.

Sheesh.

Eric it is the way of the future the 6MT will be gone ...you can even order an FCAR with a 6speed anymore even though a few 599's did make it out that way

I'm a bit bummed here. If Porsche only makes PDK for the Turbo, I may just keep my 997 Turbo and chip it. I can get more ponies and less cost.

Bumming ....

I need to drive a PDK S soon as they are available here in CT-land. I may be amazed. Or ...

Too bad the Turbo specs are not available at launch of the 991 series. Would make a difference to some of us I suppose.
Same, I was also hoping to possibly pick up a turbo in MT. Guess the only real advantage here is saving me some pennies

Dunno, I am really fighting the move to PDK. I understand the no MT in the Panamera but in a Porsche Turbo. Its almost Sacrilege! I will riot!

Wouldn't make much sense as the 991S is also a 7 speed manual....

I don't think I heard the info-babe in the WOT video say that the 991 tri-turbo would be PDK-ONLY.

I'm excited for the 991 Turbo, but I can NOT wait for what the 991 GT2/GT2 rs will look like and the numbers it will produce.
