Spied: 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo at the Nürburgring!
Our trusty Teamspeed spies caught the new Porsche 911 Turbo testing this morning at Germany’s famous race track, the Nürburgring. With its wider fenders, air intakes in the rear fenders to cool down the inter coolers, and the rear bumper with integrated exhaust pipes, it differs from the normal 911 prototypes we have seen for years now. This is also the first Turbo prototype we have spotted with an exposed rear wing as the ones we showed you early had us worried Porsche was forgetting a main aesthetic focal point of the Turbo's we have come to love.
This new turbo, with it's aggressive stance, screams for high speed. With an expected output of about 550 horsepower, this new 911 Turbo will deliver more performance than most of us can handle. Sure has come a long way since the original 1974 911 Turbo that developed 258bhp! We expect the car to make its official debut in summer 2012.

I'm in love with the bulging fenders and exaggerated proportions. The splitter and rear wing are huge! All of the other Turbo details complete the look too. I can't wait to see the finished ironed out version. Thanks for the post DJ!

side on it just looks sooooo long.....
and now my decision is also vindicated, I am busy spec'ing a custom clubsport cage with Heigo directly, and if it is good enough for Porsche to use on their protos, it is definitely good enough for me!

Why did you fit my face with a blur box D? Sheesh...
I love the flare's on this thing. I'm betting it'll get its fair share of detractors. It gives the car a more muscular look. As if it really needed it though.
