Need your opinions on this car
So ever since I got rid of my 996 Turbo a couple years ago I have wanted to get back into another Turbo. I found this 997.1 Turbo for sale online and don't know what to do. A little background on my old car: it was a 2003 Speed Yellow 996 Turbo with the X50 package. I then did the ECU, Exhaust, suspension, rims, GT3 seats, short shifter and a couple other small mods. It was a helluva car and I miss it.
Fast forward to today: I found this car a couple days ago and actually drove down to check it out and test drive it. It's a 2008 Speed Yellow 997.1 Turbo and here is where it gets interesting: It has a GMG ECU flash, GMG exhaust, lowering springs, HRE wheels, factory short shifter, a ton of carbon interior parts and Carbon Fiber $$$$ Carrera GT seats (at least that's what they look like, but correct me if I am wrong). It's like the twin of my old car! And here are the factory options on the car:
BSEMDL BASE 911 Turbo 126,200.00
BDYCLR X4 Speed Yellow .00
TOPCLR X4 Speed Yellow .00
INTERI AT Black Full Leather .00
OPTION XFH Instrument Dials Speed Yellow 860.00
OPTION 810 Floor Mats in Interior Color 140.00
OPTION 450 Ceramic Composite Brakes-PCCB 8,840.00
OPTION 640 Sport Chrono Package Turbo 1,920.00
OPTION 220 Axle-Differential Lock Rear 950.00
OPTION XPA Thicker Steering Wheel-Leather 310.00
OPTION 803 Carbon Package 890.00
OPTION XMJ Rear Center Console - Carbon 1,625.00
OPTION X69 Door Entry Guards in Carbon 780.00
OPTION XCZ Sport Shifter 765.00
OPTION P77 Leather Sport Seats .00
OPTION CNE Spoiler Lip Painted 585.00
OPTION XAJ Standard Rocker Panels Painted 750.00
Total Options 144,615.00
Total Charges 860.00
Total Order.. 145,475.00
So......The only thing is that it's at a 3rd party dealer and I don't think it's even worth bothering with any kind of warranty and I'm not too sure of the price. No stock parts are included with the sale, it's basically "as-is". Also my previous car was a lease so I didn't have to worry about selling a yellow car. However, I would be purchasing this one. Will this car be impossible to sell down the road? What do you guys think? Thanks for the help.
And the new listing:

I'm always wary of modded cars Jay. This one looks nice and the mileage is pretty low. Don't make any kind of move on this car without getting a PPI first. You might also want to call or email GMG with the VIN number to find out if they did the work and what they think about it.
I wouldn't worry too much about the resale of speed yellow down the road. It will be harder than black, silver or grey, but it's a classic and iconic color, someone's bound to fall in love with it.

Looks nicely optioned. HRE comps are nice. And those are 997 GT2 seats, not Carrera GT seats. Superb seats nonetheless (I have them as well). Don't have experience with the GMG stuff. As far as springs go, GMG (relabeled Eibach?) are well-reviewed. The exhaust, like any other aftermarket system, is hit or miss.
I'm partial to the carbon goodies as well, so good option. PCCB's are great and $$$ option, but perhaps not the greatest if you heavily track the car.
Now, as far as price, an 08 with 10K miles and no CPO is not worth $97,xxx. You can tell them aftermarket stuff gets $0.50 on the dollar if they're lucky. I'd say high $80's/low $90's tops. GL!

Clean car...I wouldn't be worried about the "mods" really since your probably going to do that also...A ecu tune and exhaust are very basic mods...The price is to high...I would say around mid 80's for the car...

Thanks for the inputs so far. I agree that I would want to be around mid 80's for the car. And I talked to GMG and they recall working on the car and would do a PPI if I wanted one. I don't expect to track the car and I recall that many people have converted back to steel for the track. Does that mean that ceramics are great for street? How much maintenance do they need? I was told 40,000 miles before the first pad change?
