Post Preview: New Carbon Fiber Accessory Additions for 911 Turbo V-RT Line

We are pleased to announce our latest carbon fiber accessory additions to our V-RT product lineup for the 997 Turbo.

These new items are now available for special pre orders with select authorized Vorsteiner dealers and will begin shipping on July/August 2011.

These are constructed of our latest 100% carbon fiber pre preg autoclave construction with 4 layers of gloss UV clear coat lacquer.

  • Rear Fender Air Intake Grill Set (Left & Right Sides | Sold as Pairs)
  • Front Bumper Radiator Vent Grill Cover

Have you guys thought about making them in a non-gloss finish like the GT2 RS?

Yes these are available in our Matte Clear Finish as well just like the Original Porsche GT2 RS parts.

Yes, the Matte is much better on the TT's!

My understanding is that the "matte" carbon fiber is more accurately known as Dry Carbon, and tends to be lighter (and more expensive) than glossy Wet Carbon, which is a bit heavier but cheaper to manufacture.

Yes this is true but most parts that are ascetics will be wet carbon with a matte clear coat not actually dry carbon.

These parts are made using an aerospace grade pre impregnated autoclave system. These are what is commonly known as "dry carbon fiber"

Wet lay up carbon fiber is more cost effective way producing carbon parts that do not require much technology and often yield poor quality and weight results.

Below are some samples of our pre preg carbon parts that come in our optional matte clear finish.
