Been considering this piece for a while and just ordered it. I realize some people like it and some not so much. I think it will play nicely with my P40's in matte black. Thoughts?

I wouldn't do it as it serves no purpose and takes away from the lines of the car. That vent is originally from the 2007 & 2008 GT3's so why update your car with an old look?

I'd say it serves the same purpose as it does on the 7.1 GT3 - lets some air pressure out from under the front. Noticeable? Probably not. But it comes down to aesthetics. I think it looks pretty nice. Any more shots of your car?

The GT3 was designed with the vent in mind for downforce through the air-flow, the internals of the Turbo were not.

I have mentioned to Brian in the past my opinion is NOT to ruin your front bumper by cutting out a space for the vent, if he really wants that look slap on a GT2 Bumper and the new GT2RS front Lip

I don't know what's behind either front bumper but if air pressure is escaping, then I don't know how it's doing something different whether it's on the GT3 or the Turbo.

Now, if airflow is blocked on the Turbo and the vent is purely aesthetic, then the GT3 being "designed for it' is mute because it's functionless anyway.
And if airflow is getting through and functionally creates downforce (er, reduces upforce?) then you can consider whether the Turbo is effected by it by not being designed for it. But I imagine that it will be used in conjunction with the TA wing, and that they were designed together to prevent any imbalance.

Just my 20 yen on a subject I know little about.

If you're considering the vent, I just saw this product offering from Rennline, where they've very thoughtfully put together the vent + installation template to make the install as easy as possible.

I'm not affiliated with Rennline in anyway, I just think it's a very smart offering.

GT3 Smile Vent Kit, Installation Kit, and Wire Mesh Kit-Rennline, Inc.
