Cops in my neck of the woods are cracking down on two things -
1. No front plate
2. Dealer/Vanity plate frames
NJ law states that the operator of the vehicle must be able to produce the front plate at the time of a traffic stop or on demand. Now, the cops are using this as a way to just pull you over - and if they dont have anything to get you on, they give you a $120 ticket for obstruction of view of the license plate on rear of car.
Have had two friends issued tickets for this in the past 30 days. one M3, one 911.
I am considering taking out the drill and putting the plate on my car. I dislike getting stopped for any reason.
