I find it sad honestly... Just when you're so happy having bought the latest Turbo S, knowing for sure it's gonna be the 997 Turbo, you get hit with this... Sounds like same what happened with those who bought the 997.2 GT3 RS, and later heard of a 4.0 LE to follow... That's WAY too much guys...
it's only sad if you buy a car for status. if you're happy when you bought the car, what does it matter?
i actually like the idea of all these variants - a secret code for porsche enthusiasts - everyone gets something a little bit different. not everyone is for me (i would never buy this one) but i like there are 50 different kinds of 997s out there, and the general public all think they are "boxsters"
