Conflicted - Buy 08 Turbo or 07 GT3

Need to make a decision tomorrow morning on a Cobalt Blue GT3 4k miles, with NAV, Black Leather Sport Seats, Xenon Headlights and Ceramic Brakes vs. a new 08 Turbo, Basalt Black with Natural Brown Full Leather, Sport Chrono, Leather Console, Supple Leather and a few other goodies. The Turbo has also been lowered and has new custom wheels with low profile PS2's. Still negotiating the original wheels as part of the package. The GT3 is just under it's original MSRP and the The Turbo is substantially discounted. Not sure if the Basalt Black with Brown is that unpopular to drop the price. Price difference is almost negligible. My gut says the Turbo is a better buy, but the GT3's are so hard to find and this one is in perfect condition. Anyone want to chime in before I have a totally sleepless night?

Easy TT. New car, zero miles.

What will the car be used for? My choice would be the GT3 if it will be an extra car, but Turbo for a daily driver.

Totally depends on your style of driving and what you are looking for in a car. DD then TT, weekends and track day fun then GT3 (BTW, you could easily do either with both of them). If it helps you sleep any, YOU CAN'T LOSE, BOTH CARS ARE GREAT! I have an 07 GT3 and love it, I'm taking it to the shop in the morning for some additional new "parts". Best of luck with your decision, but remember there are those that wish they were faced with your dilemma. Enjoy whichever one you get.

All depends on what you're planning on using it for...

Daily driver? Get the Turbo

Weekend fun car? Get the GT3

That is my opinion as a 997 Turbo owner (daily driver, also sees track time)

Drive them both. I have a 997 GT3 and I love it. More visceral, engaging in my opinion.

turbo vs NA
track machine vs 'street car'
the real question is: do you need a back seat.
I do thus the turbo

my thought process would be a) nonlinear thrust, b) moddability or c) linear predictability. i like (a) and (b), thus my car choice.

Update - Bought The Turbo

In the end the TT was just more "car" to me for the dollar. It will be a semi daily driver and a weekend fun car. No more then 2-3 track days a year. The GT3 was very, very tempting, but it was much more of a track car. I liked the xtra torque of the TT and the smooth ride on choppy roads. I thought the road feel and handling of the GT3 was a bit more precise and the growl in sport mode was phenomenal. For me each advantage ended up canceling the other out in the overall performance dept.

In the end the extra's in the TT like full leather, power seats, sport chrono, painted aero pieces, Autobahn, LoJack, H&R Springs, and wider Custom wheels with PS2's just made it a great buy. Also got the original tires and turbo wheels thrown in. I traded in my 08 Ruby 911 Cab to complete the deal. It was harder to let her go than I thought.

Thanks for all the input. I get the TT Thurs morning and then the wife and I head up to NH for the Northeast PCA Spring Ramble. It's about a 500 mile roundtrip, plus some local road tours while we're up there. Hopefully I can break her in with about 1,000 miles over the weekend.

Anyone on the board going to the ramble, please PM me. It's our first time, I'd love to meet some new people.
