This is not 1200hp...

Real 1000hp Porsche is being built as I type, sponsored by H&R and will run at Papenburg in the spring - then we will see what top speed 1000 real horses can do.
I dont think this particular car has been tested on Nardo? It say`s 1200hp quiet clearly in spec info sign on this vid.

Yup, this is the car see link below.... I saw it at Essen in the flesh, it is a nice job but despite it saying as clearly as you want "1200hp" we will soon find out what 1000 real hp ie engine dyno tested will deliver....

I think 9ff has jumped up a notch lately when it comes to quality. I have always loved there brutal builds.

Another "anomily" in the 9ff claim of 1200hp and 1100NM....

If you crunch the numbers to have 1200hp at say 7500rpm (it is unlikely to be higher revs on a turbo engine)equates to 1140NM at 7500rpm - torque curves do not generally peak at maximum power on a turbocharged Porsche engine

I think maximum power arrives at about 8000rpm, redline is 8300-8500.
And yes, torque peak is very high up for a turbo engine, but it was the same with the old Gemballa 750 Evo (max torque at 6800). Just a question of the engine setup.

Good point, I never noticed that about he Gemballa car (its max torque was at 6150rpm)...I guess it is massive turbochargers hitting their "sweet spot" much higher up the revs since they take o long to spool up.
